Legislative Committee to Consider Mask Enforcement Rules

SPRINGFIELD – A legislative committee will meet Tuesday to consider mask enforcement rules and Governor J.B. Pritzker asked members Sunday to “leave politics out of their decision.”

Members on the joint committee on administrative rules have expressed opposition to the rules, with the Illinois governor askeing them to focus on Illinoisans’ health.

The rules would apply to businesses, restaurants, bars, schools and daycare centers, ranging from a warning for a first offense to find for a third.
