Zeigler-Royalton Schools Switching to Remote Learning

ZEIGLER – The Zeigler-Royalton School District released a statement Wednesday announcing the suspension of in-person learning due to an increase in the amount of positive COVID-19 cases in district’s school community.

The district used one of its state-allowed remote learning days Thursday and will likewise Friday. Students will not participate in remote learning either day, according to the district. Full remote learning for the entire district will begin Monday and continue through Friday, Sept. 4 with a potential return to in-person instruction Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The district said they will continue to provide updates on the return and adjust as necessary, ensuring all safety protocols were followed and the decision is based solely on precautionary measures. They added they felt no student was in direct contact with a confirmed positive individual.
