SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – Democrat Ray Lenzi, challenging incumbent Republican Congressman Mike Bost this November, will kick off a four-day tour of 17 Post Offices in Illinois’ 12th Congressional District today.
According to a press release from the Lenzi campaign, Lenzi will greet voters and “take President Trump to task for deliberately knee-capping the United States Postal Service, and causing hardship for senior citizens, veterans and others who depend on timely delivery of mail. He will also call on Bost to protect American democracy and stand up for fast and efficient postal service and safe and secure mail-in voting procedures.”
Lenzi will start his tour in Carbondale at 10 a.m., followed by stops in Colp at 11 a.m., Herrin at 11:30 a.m., Marion at 12:30 p.m., West Frankfort at 2 p.m. and Benton at 3 p.m.
Lenzi will then travel to Du Quoin tomorrow at 10 a.m. followed by stops in Tamaroa at 10:45 a.m., Sesser at 12:30 p.m., Waltonvillle at 2 p.m., Mt. Vernon at 3 p.m. and Christopher at 4 p.m.
