Two Carbondale Men Charged for Fatal Shooting in Marion

MARIOIN – Charges have been filed in relation to a fatal shooting in Marion earlier this week.

According to Williamson County court documents, 22-year-old Jamonte Allison Jr. and 36-year-old James Moore, both of Carbondale, were charged with first degree murder in connection to a Tuesday evening shooting on the 1200 block of Cherry Street in Marion that claimed the life of Marquavian Purdiman and injured Deandre Edwards.

A release from the Marion Police Department stated that Allison Jr. and Moore opened fire at a residence around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday and were subsequently arrested in Anna about an hour after the shooting.e shooting claimed the life of Marquavian Purdiman and also injured Deandre Edwards.

Allison Jr. and Moore are scheduled to appear in court Friday.
