SALEM – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced that a lane restriction will occur on southbound I-57 at the Salem exit, near mile marker 116.

The left lane will be closed at 8 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, for expansion joint repair. The left lane re-open at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 2.

IDOT said motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
