Grayville Man Pleads Guilty to White County Stabbings

CARMI – A Grayville man this week entered an open plea of guilty in White County Court to the offense of aggravated domestic battery (a Class 2 felony) and aggravated battery (a Class 3 felony) stemming from a March incident.

In a release, White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud said in pleading guilty, 46-year-old Sanjay J. Lewis stabbed his girlfriend, Savannah Earl, multiple times with a knife March 17. Lewis also admitted that on March 17, he intentionally stabbed Paige York in the stomach with a knife.

Lewis could face six to 60 years in state prison for his actions. He will be sentenced on Jan. 25 in White County Court.
