HARRISBURG – Multiple students and staff members from Harrisburg Middle School are on quarantine after a student at the school tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a release from the Harrisburg School District, a student at the middle school was sent home with symptoms Oct. 6. He received positive test results Oct. 12.
Principal Debbie McGowan then contacted the Health Department and after contact tracing, two staff members and 14 students were asked to quarantined. None have shown any symptoms to date.
The Harrisburg School District noted they will continue to follow guidelines and keep parents informed as incidents occur.
