SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Department of Public Health officials reported 4,162 new COVID-19 cases including 29 additional deaths statewide Sunday, raising the total number of cases to 1,068,829, including 18,208 deaths.

• Jackson County: 14
• Franklin County: 11
• Saline County: nine
• White County: seven
• Gallatin County: two

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from Jan. 10 through the 16 is 6.1 percent.
