SPRINGFIELD – Gov. JB Pritzker ha sptched Illinois as the host of this summer’s Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game.
The MLB nixed the original Georgia location, the Atlanta Braves’ stadium Truist Park, in protest over the state’s new voting laws. Pritzker offered Illinois as an alternative and said he’s ready to get started.
Pritzker said although cases have been rising, more Illinoisans should be vaccinated by July. He additionally noted signing a new law expanding voting access for residents, including the use of drop boxes and curb-side voting.
