JACKSON COUNTY – The Jackson County Health Department said Wednesday all Illinois residents age 16 and older are eligible to walk-in at both COVID-19 mass vaccination sites in Jackson County without an appointment.
The Banterra Center and Carbondale Civic Center will accept walk-ins, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A first or second dose of Pfizer vaccine will be available to those walking in.
Officials said those needing a second dose should ensure it has been at least 21 days since their first dose and bring their vaccination card. Anyone 16-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Appointments are also available each day and can be booked here or by calling 618-684-3143. Pfizer is the vaccine offered most days to those with appointments. Those wanting Johnson & Johnson can make appointments for April 10 at either location.
Vaccinations are free and no insurance information is collected.
