PERRY COUNTY – Illinois State Police along with the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration continue to investigate a Friday afternoon plane crash in Perry County.
According to ISP, around 3:40 p.m., troopers responded to the plane crash in the area of Illinois 127 and Purple Martin Road in Pinckneyville (pink-nee-ville).
A single engine 1973 Bonanza A36 aircraft made an emergency landing in an open field after experiencing mechanical issues. There was minor damage to the plane.
The pilot, 61-year-old Kenneth J. Loggins of Jonesboro, AR and his passenger, 73-year-old Goldie M. Loggins of Brockwell, AR refused medical attention.
No other information was made available.
