Pritzker Announces Six-Year, $7B Plan to Improve Illinois Roads, Bridges

SPRINGFIELD (IOCI RADIO) – Gov. JB Pritzker announced a new 20-point, $7 billion plan to improve Illinois roads and bridges over the next six years.

The multi-year plan is part of the state’s Rebuild Illinois initiative, with projects scheduled all over the state covering nearly 2,800 miles of roads and close to eight million square feet of bridge deck.

 

The governor added that Amtrak will resume full passenger service beginning July 19.
