MT. VERNON – SSM Health in Illinois is once again suspending visits throughout its care sites including Good Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospitals.
Officials said the restrictions are necessary due to an increase in the spread of COVID-19 throughout our community.
Beginning August 23, no visitors will be allowed except under certain circumstances, including end-of-life situations and when a visitor is essential for the patient’s emotional well-being and care. Obstetrics patients will be allowed two visitors to offer support for the duration of their stay and patients in pediatric settings will be allowed one visitor.
