Folwer Announces Reelection Bid in 59th District

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) announced Monday he will seek re-election to continue to represent the communities, businesses, and hard-working families of the 59th Illinois Senate District.

Fowler serves on the Education, Higher Education, Energy, Public Utilities, Revenue, and Transportation committees and as the Minority Spokesperson for Commerce and Economic Development in the Illinois General Assembly.

“During my time in office, I have worked with the members of our community and other state officials to accomplish great things for the families of Southern Illinois, but there is still more work to be done,” Fowler said. “I have been honored to have the confidence of the constituents of the 59th District over these past two terms and I will work every day to continue to earn and keep their trust throughout our campaign.”

Aside from his role in the Illinois Senate, Fowler has a background in farming, business ownership, and business development banking. Additionally, he worked for former Secretary of State Jim Edgar, the Department of Corrections, and the Department of Juvenile Justice where he retired as Chief Engineer in 2012. Fowler is the former Mayor of Harrisburg and served as a member of the Saline County Board.
