(IOCI RADIO) – A new report highlights the success of a recent law helping service members obtain their state professional license more quickly.
The idea is to expedite the process, so active-duty military of their husbands/wives can get off to a good start when they move to Illinois.
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Secretary Mario Treto said the report found that those taking advantage of the program work in a variety of fields.
Last year, 862 service members and their spouses were assisted through the licensure process – three times more than were served during the initiative’s first year in 2020.
