Three Arrested Friday in Carbondale on Gun Charges

CARBONDALE – Three people have been arrested following a report of shots fired in the 400 block of East College Street Friday morning.

According to Carbondale Police, officers made contact with 43-year-old Marlin J. Brown of Carbondale, who was leaving the area.

In the course of the investigation, officer arrested Brown for Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.

As the investigation continued, officers identified the two other suspects – 18-year-old Keon L. Foulks of Carbondale and 20-year-old Keavonte T. Nesby of DeSoto. Foulks and Nesby were located and arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  

After conferring with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Foulks, Nesby and Brown were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.  

No injuries were reported but damage to property was discovered.  

Carbondale Police continue to investigate.
