Carbondale Man Arrest Man Wanted on Warrants for Weapons, Battery

CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man was located and arrested by Carbondale Police along with the U.S. Marshals Service Friday for multiple warrants in the 900 block of West McDaniel Street.

According to Carbondale Police, the warrants for 29-year-old Deaundre R. Wimberly were the result of multiple investigations led by the Carbondale Police Department.  

With assistance from the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Wimberly was arrested on warrants for Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Home Invasion, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Vehicular Invasion and Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.  

During the course of the arrest and investigation, Carbondale Police detectives also charged Wimberly with additional counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Armed Violence, Manufacture/Possession of Cannabis with the Intent to Delivery (500, to 2,000 grams) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.  

Wimberly is lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
