U.S. Rep. Schiff to Join SIUC Paul Simon Institute for Virtual Conversation About Foreign Policy

CARBONDALE – California Congressman Adam Schiff, chair of the House Intelligence Committee, will join Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 for a virtual conversation via Zoom about U.S. foreign policy challenges, especially related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required here.

Schiff and John Shaw, institute director, will talk about the intelligence community’s role in the United States’ response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and how the House Intelligence Committee oversees the country’s intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency.
