(IOCI RADIO) – Illinois lawmakers are voting to enact a ban on “ghost guns.”‘
The bill would require all guns to have a serial number, outlawing so-called “ghost guns” that can be put together with a kit bought online or using a 3D printer.
Rep. Kim Buckner of Chicago sponsored the measure, saying it doesn’t take away gun owners’ rights and should stand up in court if challenged.
Supporters said Illinois law enforcement has seen a 400% increase in ghost guns over the last five years.
