METROPOLIS – IDOT is planning to close the eastbound or westbound lanes of I-24 near Metropolis so bridge inspections can be performed on the I-24 Ohio River bridge.

The initial closure is scheduled to begin Monday through Friday of next week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The second closure is scheduled for Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Both closures are weather dependent.
