MARION – A Marion woman caused quite a disturbance at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Saturday night.
According to a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page, deputies responded to a disturbance in the lobby of the sheriff’s office at 8:14 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found that the suspect, identified as Leann Jackson of Marion, had crashed her car into five patrol vehicles which were located in the sheriff’s office parking lot.
After causing thousands of dollars in damage, Jackson entered the sheriff’s office lobby and pulled the fire alarm.
Four Williamson County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles and one Marion Police Department patrol vehicle were damaged.
Sheriff Jeff Diederich says the sheriff’s office is fortunate that no one was injured during this incident.
Jackson was cited with Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstructing Identification. Jackson was remanded to the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Illinois State Police for their assistance.
