MARION – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the third suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred Monday in Thompsonville has been identified as Sam Garten.

Garten has been arrested and is lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s office would like to thank the West Frankfort Police Department for their assistance in apprehending Garten.

The sheriff’s office also announced Wednesday that another suspect in this case, Dylan M. Russell, has been apprehended and is lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The sheriff’s office would like to thank the Marion Police Department for locating Russell and taking him to jail.

Another suspect, Carl L. Copher, is still wanted by the sheriff’s office.

The three suspects are accused of stealing two four-wheelers, a 2018 Carriage enclosed trailer, a Stihl chainsaw, tools, elk antlers, hunting equipment, and other items during the burglary on Brushy Creek Road in Thompsonville.

Investigators have recovered a significant amount of the stolen property.
