BENTON – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on drug and other charges after being stopped in rural Benton Tuesday.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies learned that driving privileges for the driver, Elvis Fitzpatrick, had been revoked. His vehicle registration was also found to be suspended.

Fitzpatrick was placed under arrest, and during the search incident to arrest, he was found to be unlawfully in possession of a controlled substance.

Fitzpatrick was taken to the Franklin County Jail and turned over to jail staff for processing.

He was charged with Driving while License Revoked, Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
