PADUCAH – The National Weather Service in Paducah says severe thunderstorms are likely today into tonight with a potentially volatile weather setup in place.

Forecasters say our area is in a moderate to enhanced risk for severe weather today.

Multiple forecast models indicate the potential for very large hail, destructive winds, and tornadoes, some potentially significant.

The severe potential could span a period of several hours from late morning through the evening.

Repeat thunderstorms over the same locations may also result in flash flooding.

Stay weather aware, have multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts, and have a plan in place should severe weather threaten.
