HERRIN – A man was recently cited for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and other offenses after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen motorcycle in Herrin.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies saw the motorcycle going east on Herrin Road just after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 and saw Travis L. Conroy operating it. The bike matched the description of a motorcycle that had previously failed to stop for law enforcement several days earlier. It did not have any registration displayed.
Deputies turned around and went after Conroy. Conroy accelerated, passed several cars, and left the roadway north through a field. Deputies pulled over in the 5000 block of Herrin Road and saw Conroy get off the bike. He was taken into custody without further incident. Deputies checked out his driver’s license and found it was suspended. Conroy was also wanted on an outstanding Franklin County warrant for failing to appear in court for Criminal Trespass to Residence. Deputies ran the bike’s VIN number and discovered it had been stolen. They also found five credit cards belonging to four other people. The cards were collected as evidence.
Conroy was lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
