AVISTON – Norma Jean Weekley (nee Quigley), 86, of Aviston, IL, passed away Saturday October 4, 2025, at her residence at 2:36 a.m. 

Norma was born May 2, 1939, in Little Rock, AR, to William and Clara (Pries) Quigley. She married Glenn Lester Weekley on January 18, 1958, in Mobile, AL, and he preceded her in death. Norma was a homemaker and an avid reader of the Bible. She also loved spending time with her family. Norma was a member of Grace Baptist Church in West Frankfort, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lester Weekley, on April 8, 2015; parents, Clara and Mack Hammac; father, William Quigley; brothers, Carl and Mitchell Quigley; children, Keith Weekley and Evelyn (Lenard) Bybee.

Norma is survived by her sister, Neva Brady of Heidelberg, MS; children, Kim (Mel) Deimeke of Trenton, IL; James (Linda) Weekley of Trenton, IL, Vickie (Charlie) Korte of Breese, IL, Charles (Rina) Weekley of Gilbertsville, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Lynn Weekley of Foley, AL; daughter in law, Kim Weekley of Vienna, IL; grandchildren, Brandon (Trisha) Weekley of Germantown, IL, Jonathan (Casey) Weekley of Trenton, IL, Tiffany (Cody) Shafer of Addieville, IL, Danielle (Anthony) Martin of Columbia, IL, Shannon (Jarred) Flowers of Columbia, IL, Charles (Chelsea) Weekley Jr. of New Baden, IL, Dustin Hilmes of Johnston City, IL, Rachel Michels (Nolan Braden) of Breese, IL, Rebecca Hammer (Blake Rode) of Highland, IL, Stephanie (Brandon) Fehrmann of St. Rose, IL, Karen (Max) Luksetich of Aviston, IL, Shane (Alex) Walden of Trenton, IL, Tina Bybee of West Frankfort, IL, and Glen Trame of West Frankfort, IL; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday October 8, 2025, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, IL, with Minister Roger Teal officiating. Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort, IL. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church in West Frankfort, IL. Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
