CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police arrested a Johnston City man after an officer on foot patrol in the 1200 block of East Main Street saw him remove copper from a vehicle belonging to a contractor working in the area early Tuesday morning.

Police say 46-year-old Damon H. Jones attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended without further incident.

Jones was arrested for Burglary to Motor Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Resisting a Peace Officer. Jones was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
