MARION – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies served an arrest warrant on a man Tuesday wanted on two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child Under Age 13 – a Class X felony.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Clint G. Russell was found by investigators at a home in rural Jackson County.  

Russell’s arrest is the result of an extensive investigation that originated on March 23, upon receiving a report concerning allegations of inappropriate contact.

Russell was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this matter by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and Williamson County State’s Attorney Ted Hampson.
